        Alot of students think JROTC is a lot like boot camp.  Don't get us wrong!  You can actually participate in obstacle courses at the JROTC Leadership summer camp if you would like, but JROTC is a lot than just obstacle courses and marching!

 

Take a look at the activities you will be involved in if you decide to join JROTC!

    Join in organizing Service Learning Projects such as Overton's Annual Life Blood, Blood Drive!  Service learning activities are done at least once a year.  The service learning activity can be described as a learning strategy where cadets have a direct impact on an identified community need that interest and motivates them. 

 

           

    

Participate in Honor Guards for special events!

Here at Overton, Cadets escort our V.I.P. guests for our highly successful career day, such as Leon Griffin (Fox 13 Good Moringing Memphis).

              

 

       

 

March in the Veteran's Day Parade!

Ladies, you could also become Overton's JROTC Queen!

Compete in Drill Team Competitions with the Armed and Unarmed, Drill Teams!

               

 

 

        

 

Participate in special Land Navagation and Orienteering competitions!

Become a member of the color guard and attend formal events such as the Mashing of the Colors!

                                            

 

Take your aim and join Overton's Rifle

Team.  Compete in shooting comptitions!
